Common handset faults
A handset can fail locally even when the shared entrance still works for everyone else. We check controls, terminals, call signal, audio and the release circuit before replacing it.
- Handset does not ring
- No sound or one-way audio
- Release button does nothing
- Damaged receiver, cord or casing

Compatibility matters
Door-entry handsets are not universal. A similar-looking replacement can use different terminal functions, call voltages or wiring. Send a clear front photograph and any model label before buying a handset.
03
One flat or a communal fault?
Ask a neighbour whether their handset works. If only one flat is affected, the handset or local wiring is more likely. If several flats are affected, the entrance panel, power supply or common wiring may need building-owner access.

Repair visit pricing
The £65 repair visit includes attendance and up to the first hour of investigation or repair. Compatible parts and any additional time are explained and agreed before work continues.
